Hal Amens

	Hal Amens Posted: Sep 04 2002 Contributor Hal Amens is the President of Lyon, Popanz & Forester, a management-consulting firm that has served clients in the United States, Europe and Asia since 1977. The firm is headquartered in Marina del Rey, California. A major emphasis of LP&F is the design and management of complex projects such as computer center consolidations, large mergers, Y2K and HIPAA. Hal is the editor and publisher of The HIPAA Implementation Newsletter. The newsletter provides information to assist health care providers, health insurance companies, and vendors of systems and services in planning, managing and implementing the changes required by the Administrative Simplification requirements of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). Hal has a BS in Business Administration from the University of Denver where he also spent one year in the College of Law, and an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business.
